Time flies when you’re getting old. And we’re all getting old.
When we were kids, it seemed like time barely moved at all. Hours in the classroom seemed to last an eternity—and those first 18 years until we were done with high school took even longer.
And yet, the bell or whistle signifying the end of recess, much like the sunset that meant it was time to scuttle the game and get home for the night, always came too soon. Time always flies when we’re having fun.
But it isn’t long after that 20th high school reunion before you realize time is slipping away. All those pointless meetings. All those asshole customers. The commute. The Rat Race is real—and we’re spinning our wheels.
One day you notice the sense of urgency. Time is running out. You’re 40-something, your savings wouldn’t last six months, nobody’s even really getting a cost of living raise anymore, and you can’t escape the feeling you’re trapped.
If that isn’t motivation enough for you to take even the smallest action on your dream today, I don’t know what it would take. Sketch out that crazy, world-changing idea. Ask a friend what they’d pay for it.
Hell. Google the answer to any question related to making your dream come true.
Take any action at all—today.
Deal with the consequences—good or bad.
Remember, perfection is the enemy of done. Get something done.
Can you believe it’s already Summer? Let’s end 2018 with a win.
