Welcome to the new cruelty.
Here’s the deal. There’s only one rule.
If it we don’t believe in it,
we don’t publish it.
It’s that’s simple.
I don’t give a shit about SEO. I don’t care how many people visit. All I care about is publishing stories that inspire gearheads like us and make a difference.
Honest, legit content that exists because IT—not the audience—is the product in demand. Because it touches a nerve and resonates like a 10mm socket into the deepest, darkest corners of the engine bay.
I want subscribers, though. Don’t get me wrong.
Re-launching Gearbox Magazine—again—is, honestly, a bunch of work I do not need in my life right now. But I can’t fight this feeling anymore. I’ve forgotten what I started fighting for.
Show me you’re one of us,
that you get it,
that these are YOUR stories and you want them told.
Step up, and say:
I am a gearhead. I am here because you said something right today. You said something that mattered. Add my email address to your list of next level gearheads.
That list will never be published.
It will never be sold.
It’s just you telling me you’re one of us and that being one of us matters.
So do me a solid. Put your email address into this thing.
I’ll email you when—and ONLY when—we have something worth the interruption.
And if we get to where we need more than one email a week, we’ll figure it out together.
Gearheads always do.
