TO DUPLICOLOR, OR PLASTIDIP: THAT IS THE QUESTION
Whether ’tis nobler in the Monty to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous scrub brush,
Or to take arms against a sea of pressure washers…
For my birthday this year, I’ve decided I would like to kill a bunch of birds with one stone. The glare off the hood as I drive to and from work is murder, so it needs a re-spray with something flat or matte. And I’d really like to use Rocinante as a bit of a rolling billboard for the magazine, so I’m asking for rattle cans for my birthday next month.
TO SLEEP: PERCHANCE TO DREAM: AY, THERE’S THE RUB
For in that huff of paint what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this dented door,
Must give us pause: there’s the respect
Before I burden you with talk of quietus, bare bodkins, and fardels’ bear, let’s just say I’ve had a pretty busy week and decided to take a little “me time” last night. The preview of my interview with Malcolm Neill, professional motorsport consultant of Rally GB fame, went live yesterday, and I’ve been doing some serious head-scratching on how to deliver print-on-demand service for those who would like something analog to read on the toilet. Last night, I had the house to myself and finally sat down to sketch out the vision of a livery package for Rocinante I’ve had in my head for months. What do you think?
Here’s what I’m hoping to accomplish this weekend:
- wrap & schedule Digo’s Evo & Michael’s Defender pickup for next week
- finalize a couple additional stories
- email follow ups!
- take my daughter to the zoo
- get my father-in-law’s 86 Volvo 245 on Craigslist
WHAT ARE YOU UP TO THIS WEEKEND?
And what’s your favorite livery package? Who has (or had) the best racing paint job. Have you ever Plastidipped anything on your ride? How did it turn out? Leave a comment and let’s talk! PS: Only 9 days left to subscribe!
