Bodo Engemann send me a quick note on Facebook this weekend while I was building Issue 1.08. On Tuesday, 3 September 2013, North Diamonds Mitsubishi club was invited to Kinder-Hospiz Sternenbrueke (Star Bridge Children’s Hospice) where they presented the organization with a check for €3,000 (about US$4,000).
If you’re a subscriber, you read all about how North Diamonds’ event Tuning 4 Kids came to exist (preview), how it’s growing every year, and how the funds raised help terminally ill children and their families in Germany. We’re happy to share the results of their hard work and dedication to their community.
Bodo, whom we’ve interviewed before (September 2010), and on the right in the picture above, is also having his Dodge Dart restored… in Poland. That’s right. Poland. Apparently, the Polish have a reputation for being second to none in vehicle restorations in Europe, as the image below might suggest.
Hopefully, we’ll get over to northern Germany to attend T4K one of these days. In the meantime, we’ll be waiting for a full report on the Dart from Bodo once he gets the car back (after he takes a well-deserved cruise in it).
