We actually missed the Shootout on Sunday, but we have an excuse! (Read: Blame it on the Irish Car Bombs.) I think the first time I attended the Buschur Racing DSM/EVO Shootout in Norwalk, Ohio, was 2004. This one event is the reason why I’ve never made it to Curt Gendron’s All-Mitsu Cookout or the Gorman Ridge Rally, two events I really want to attend. Both of those events traditionally occur either on the same weekend as the DSMSO or immediately following.
My wife and I took off from Skyharbor International Airport in the middle of one of those haboobs last week for Indianapolis, where we met up with our good friend Andrew, who carted us over to Norwalk for a weekend of
wanton alcoholism Mitsubishi-powered performance. I’ve got a neat little story in the works showcasing some of the personalized license plates we saw at the DSMSO coming up next week, but as I am a forum guy (like many of you), I need to get a bunch of pictures hosted so I can share them with friends on 2GNT, GalantVR4.org, and the like. Hope you enjoy. If you’ve got a link to more DSMSO pictures, please share it in the comments below. The Shootout is good times and the year between now and next time we get together in Ohio seems like an eternity away…
If any of these pictures are of YOU, and you want a full-res copy (something like 4-5X larger), potentially touched up, just send us an email through the contact page. (Look top right, under “Clutch Time.”)
At this point, pictures of my 2GNT Shootout family. I’ve been partying with these folks for seven years now in Norwalk. If you’re in Norwalk for the DSMSO and find yourself in the All American Inn parking lot, these are the people in your neighborhood.
So that’s pretty much all the pictures I got. There are more on our Gearheads-United Posterous page, but those were taken with a Blackberry. We’d love to hear your DSMSO stories. For our friends we were unable to meet up with this year in person, we HAVE to make it happen next year (or sooner).
Go fast with class, friends, and press on regardless.
